Introduction
The VS Sandbox Tool is a fully functional, production-like environment for testing and validating Virgin Atlantic NDC API integrations. This page gives you an overview of the main screens and navigation so you can find your way around before starting a test booking.
Flight Search Workspace
The Flight Search screen is the main workspace. It is split into two areas:
- The left-hand navigation panel — contains the search filter, a list of previous searches, and the Admin Panel menu.
- The main section — displays the Flight Search form where you enter travel details and view matching flight offers.

Admin Panel
The left-hand navigation menu gives you quick access to all key features within the Sandbox Portal. Select the menu icon to expand or collapse it.
My Account
Returns you to the Account Admin Panel where you can update your personal details.
Available Connections
Opens the NDC Connections screen where you can view all API connections associated with your organisation and IATA identifiers, and switch between them.
API XML Logs
View detailed XML logs for all requests and responses within the selling and servicing flows. You can download individual logs to compare against your own API implementation.
Order Management
Access and manage all previous orders made through the Sandbox Booking Tool, filtered by your organisation's IATA number.
Filter
Narrows down the left-hand navigation items for quicker access.
Minimise
Collapses the left-hand navigation panel to maximise space in the main section.
