Virgin Atlantic and Amadeus have confirmed their renewed and expanded distribution agreement to further enable travel retailing, including the future distribution of the airline’s NDC-based offering. The agreement allows for a broader offering for travelers and enhanced operational efficiencies for travel sellers.

Virgin Atlantic is now certified for a variety of new capability under the IATA Airline Retailing Maturity Index by utilising 21.3 NDC schema capability. IATA has equipped the industry with the Airline Retailing Maturity (ARM) index, which provides airlines and their partners with better visibility of their own and other organizations’ retailing maturity.

Virgin Atlantic and Sabre have reaffirmed their long-standing relationship with the renewal of their global distribution agreement. Under the expanded agreement, Sabre will now offer enhanced Virgin Atlantic content through its GDS marketplace, as well as the future ability to retail NDC offers. This will enable the hundreds of thousands of Sabre-connected agencies to have even richer access to Virgin Atlantic’s broad range of products and offers.
