How to Access NDC APIs? - Virgin Atlantic NDC API Help

Introduction

We have provided you with an easy-to-follow user guide that outlines the step-by-step process for requesting access to test keys. This guide includes clear instructions, screenshots, and helpful tips to ensure you can quickly and efficiently complete your request. Whether you are new to accessing API keys or simply need a refresher, the guide will assist you in navigating the process with ease.

Login to VS NDC Connect

Log in to VS NDC Connect, and you will be directed to the dashboard. Here, you will have access to key features and tools, allowing you to manage your account, view important updates, and initiate tasks such as requesting access to direct connection and service provider test keys.

Click API Connections

From the left-hand menu, click on API Connections to access and manage your API integration settings and related options.

NDC API Access Options

We offer two options for requesting access to our NDC APIs, depending on your business model and requirements. Please note that if you are not an IATA-accredited agent or aggregator with a valid IATA number, the Direct Connection option will not be available.

1. Direct Connection

IATA Accredited Seller – Sellers holding valid IATA accreditation who wish to create NDC bookings using their own IATA credentials should connect under this model. Please note that sellers without Virgin Atlantic ticketing authority will be rejected.

If you see the message “No available agency identifiers for this environment”, it means that no IATA or TIDS number has been registered or approved for your organisation. As a result, no Agent Identifier options will be available in the dropdown below.

Direct Connect Application Form

Environment: If you are accessing API Keys for development, you will only see 'DEVELOPER' as an option. If you are certified, you will have the option for 'PRODUCTION'.
Connection/Application Name: This can be a name of your choice. If you are requesting multiple API keys, you may want to differentiate each name.
Agent Identifier: This will be your IATA/TIDS number.

2. Service Provider Connection

Service Providers act on behalf of agents. Please select this option if you want to request a Developer NDC Connection Key to build your integration.

If you see the message “No available agency identifiers for this environment”, it means that no IATA or TIDS number has been registered or approved for your organisation. As a result, no Agent Identifier options will be available in the dropdown below.

Service Provider Application Form

Environment: If you are accessing API Keys for development, you will only see 'DEVELOPER' as an option. If you are certified, you will have the option for 'PRODUCTION'.
Connection/Application Name: This can be a name of your choice. If you are requesting multiple API keys, you may want to differentiate each name.
Agent Identifier: This will be your IATA/TIDS number.
Service Provider: This will be the chosen Service Provider. The provider will be listed in the dropdown. If the provider does not exist, please contact your Account Manager.

NDC API Access List

This section provides a consolidated view of the NDC APIs available to your organisation, including associated service providers and API keys across different environments. It highlights key details such as company identifiers, application names, environment types, and current status.

Disable/Enabling API Key

Disabling/Enabling an API key will immediately revoke access to the API for any applications using it. This action can be reversed by re-enabling the key if required.

In order to disable or enable an API key, click on the relevant record. A pop-up will appear allowing you to disable or enable the API key.
